Who are we?

Welcome to the 2nd Gosport (Rowner) Cub Scouts. 

Our Cub section is open, for both male & female members aged from 8 - 10 1/2 years old. Once the Cubs have made their Cub Scout promise they wear a Green Jumper and our Group neckerchief, which is light & dark blue.

to help other people and to keep the Cub Scout Law 

What do we do?

When the Cubs join they will join a Six these are friends they may know or soon make. As they progress though Cubs they may even get to become a Seconder and Sixer.

There are 33 Activity badges specially designed for the Cub Scout section, along with the six Staged badges some of them they will complete with the rest of the Cub Pack during meetings or at camp. But they can also complete them at home or at other clubs. So if they have a hobby or skill there may be a Cub badge you can gain

There are also 7 Challenges which when gained leads to them achieving there Chief Scout Silver Award which is the highest badge a Cub Scout can gain.

We have a fun & exciting Programme and encourage parents involvement, as we often need extra support when we go out and about, which we try to do as much as possible in the summer months.  During the winter we spend more time indoors and concentrate of completing activity badges, which is a fun way for children to learn about the subject we are covering.

There are many other activities and outings that the Cubs can get involved with across the District and County such as competitions including football; chess and draughts, sedan chair race, mastermind and many more.  Cubs can also take part in the many camping events that take place throughout the year.
